Migrant Women Association Malta works follows different lines of action to achieve its objective of strengthening the capacities of refugee, asylum-seekers and migrant women in order to promote their comprehensive development.

SAĦĦA Community Kitchen Project

Many migrant women in Malta possess cooking skills, yet they seek other opportunities to empower themselves and to support their families. The SAĦĦA project envisions the empowerment of migrant women through a catering project named “SAĦĦA!”. International, healthy ethnic dishes will be served to the Maltese public, with a cuisine that reflects the different nationalities of the migrant women in Malta.

IT Literacy Skills for Job Compliance Project

The IT Literacy Skills Project aims to equip participants with essential digital and technological literacy skills that are increasingly necessary to enter employment. Classes focus on computer literacy, IT security and touches on the legal aspects of working in Malta.

Emergency Response Support Project

MWAM started a campaign against the clock on March 26th 2020 to respond to the needs of migrant women most vulnerable due to the health crisis. This included various services including delivery of food, provision of information and coverage of basic supplies.
