MWAM would like to take this opportunity to celebrate World refugee day 2021 introduce “Getting online”, a Project funded by the Melita Foundation.
Getting Online will provide female asylum seekers and refugees training in digital literacy and how to navigate in the job market.
MWAM chose this day as it is a reminder of the importance of raising awareness of human rights that many of us take for granted. This is especially common when a vast majority of impoverished communities seek to live filled with health, inclusion and empowerment.
Sadly many of the female asylum seekers and refugees have been greatly impacted by COVID-19 leading them to be left out due to the many technological advances they cannot keep up with.
We are looking forward for the major step that Getting Online will achieve toward empowering the participants.
